Lucy Gibb Smith is a writer from England who resides in Vancouver, Canada. Her prior work covers a mix of media in audio drama, screenplays, TV and creative fiction.
She is currently focusing on a number of projects, and most recently completed her first novella, Hunting Season. An excerpt of which will be included in the Simon Fraser University Anthology: emerge 2026 publication this Fall.
Lucy’s most notable published work, Darkstead, was released in 2022 and is an eight part fantasy crime podcast set in remote Canada. Her writing in audio writing has been recognised at the ShoreScript Fiction Contest, the South by South West (SXSW) Festival and Goodpods list of best Canadian podcasts of 2026.
When not writing, Lucy enjoys good movie soundtracks, cat content and well-executed puns.
